4-3-3: Powerful Predicted Man United XI that should blitz Crystal Palace

4-3-3: Powerful Predicted Man United XI that should blitz Crystal Palace

Manchester United Football Club are back! Jose Mourinho’s men have been waiting two weeks to get back to winning ways following the embarrassing display that they put on in the derby last time out.

Next up, Crystal Palace visits Old Trafford. The Red Devils will be feeling confident that they can take all three points, but no game in the Premier League should be taken for granted. Make no mistake about it, Wilfried Zaha and company will head to Manchester trying to cause the upset.

Anyway, let’s get right into the starting line-up…

Predicted Manchester United XI vs Crystal Palace:

In goal, David de Gea will obviously start. He has been taking some heat recently, so let’s hope he puts in a commanding display. As for the back four in front of him, I don’t think it’ll change. Chris Smalling will partner Victor Lindelof at the heart, while Ashley Young and Luke Shaw will start as the full-backs.

Nemanja Matic will start, although I believe he shouldn’t. A fit Paul Pogba always plays. Hopefully, with a Fred alongside him, driving United forward.

Then you have Jesse Lingard who played excellently for England. He’ll play on the right-hand side, with Anthony Martial opposite him. Alexis Sanchez will retain his place through the middle.

The 57-year-old told them of his experiences in space along with the importance of working as a team.

A source said: “Steve spoke about his own experiences and how important it was to all work together.

“The players seemed to be interested in what he had to say. Hopefully it will boost their hopes.”

Swanson, who is currently on a tour of the UK, took a Manchester United flag into orbit on the Inter-  national Space Station in 2014 after being persuaded by a Russian pal, Red Devils fan Alexey Yakovlev.

JOSE MOURINHO has astonishingly accused four of his Manchester United players of lacking 'character' ahead of his side's clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.

United have had a disappointing season so far - having lost four of their opening 12 fixtures and 12 points behind bitter rivals Man City already.

Mourinho in particular has been under increased pressure this term - with rumours he was to be replaced by Zinedine Zidane circulating earlier this term amid a fallout with star man Paul Pogba.

But the Red Devils have shown a mini revival in recent games - and although they were outclassed by bitter rivals City last time out, they have won three of their last five league matches.

They also produced a stunning comeback against Juventus in the Champions League.

But the Portuguese boss still thinks some of his younger players need to show a better attitude.

Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard are also among the four

The 55-year-old said Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford all need to show better character.

Speaking to Spanish TV channel Univision, he said: "They are lacking maturity.

"And let me be clear when I say maturity, I mean maturity on a personal level.

"We had more men, we were more mature, we were more prepared for life, we were less protected.

"They are spoilt kids now, the kids of today have a different life, an easier environment and I’m talking about the people around the players.

"These people give them too much affection and too many excuses. People mature much more slowly now.

Manchester United face Crystal Palace this weekend

"Luke Shaw, he’s got big potential but doesn’t know how to behave. Big potential, yes, big potential.

"We’re talking about Luke Shaw, Martial, Lingard, Rashford – young, big potential, but at the end of the day it results in the word I cannot say, but you use it a lot here… character, personality, they lack a little."

Mourinho and United are next in action at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The match kicks off at 3pm and you can follow all the action on the SunSport LIVE blog.

€55M-RATED MAN UNITED WINGER INTERESTED TO JOIN LA LIGA GIANTS

€55M-RATED MAN UNITED WINGER INTERESTED TO JOIN LA LIGA GIANTS

Man United winger Alexis Sanchez keen to move to Real Madrid during the winter transfer window. He wants to get a regular place in starting line-up and improve his consequences and decided to change the working place this January. Chile international also linked with Arsenal and PSG and there will be a real battle for the footballer.

His price could increase and become much more. Los Blancos have serious problems in the attack and they will sign him with a pleasure. The 29-year-old player joined the Red Devils from the Gunners in January with a swap deal. He couldn’t establish himself in the club and decided to leave them. In this season, Chilean forward made just 7 appearances, scored 1 goal and made 2 assists in all competition.

This is a terrible result and he should change the working place if he wants to do much more. Alexis is contracted with Man United until 2022 and his release clause is nearly €55m. He plays regularly in the national team squad which is already a big achievement for the footballer. Red Devils have Lingard, Rashford, Martial and selling Sanchez won’t be a problem for the club.

Man United keen on signing River Plate footballer Exequiel Palacios and ready to compete with Real Madrid for the player. Red Devils have serious problems in midfield and new creative footballer is necessary. Argentina international is the best option in this situation as he started this campaign excellently and paid big clubs attention.

Mourinho set to pay big money for the midfielder in January when the transfer window opens again. Los Blancos also interested to add him and there will be a real battle for the player. His price could increase and become much more. Exequiel is a product of the La Banda youth academy and spent his current career with them. He became an unchanged figure for the club and played many games impressively over the years. In this season, Palacios already made 5 appearances, scored 1 goal and made 2 assists in all competition.

This is a great result and he can improve his consequences with high-class teammates. The 20-year-old footballer is contracted with the club until 2021 and his release clause is around €20m. Red Devils will do everything to add him during the winter transfer window. They are in 8th place in Premier League table and Jose has to improve the situation in the club.

Man United prepared to let 28-year-old leave in January, Wolves interested: report

Man United prepared to let 28-year-old leave in January, Wolves interested: report

It became common knowledge that Manchester United wanted to sign a new centre-back over the summer, but to Jose Mourinho’s frustration, a player wasn’t signed.

Now, it looks as though the self-proclaimed Special One may have been told to sell before he can buy, with the Daily Record, per The Sun, claiming that United are prepared to let Marcos Rojo leave Old Trafford – and potentially as early as January.

The 28-year-old is yet to play a first-team game this season, with Wolverhampton Wanderers setting their sights on a move for the Argentine.

It seems funny, really. During Mourinho’s debut season, Rojo was playing week-in-week-out at the heart of the back four alongside Eric Bailly, who, ironically, is also struggling at present.

Injuries haven’t helped Rojo, that ACL issue that kept him sidelined for the best part of nine months definitely set him back, but the talent and ability is still there.

I would at least give him the opportunity that he deserves before shipping him out – because his experience, willingness to win and sheer desire is something that this squad doesn’t have an awful lot of. I’m not being funny, but he can do no worse than the likes of Phil Jones…

Man United have ‘proposed a move’ for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly

Man United have ‘proposed a move’ for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly

Napoli standout

Koulibaly, a 27-year-old Senegalese central-defender, made the move to the Stadio San Paolo from Genk in 2014.

The Saint-Dié/Metz youth product has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most highly-regarded stoppers in Serie A, though questions remain over his positional sense on occasion.

Traits which cannot be doubted, however, are the pure pace and power possessed by the dominating African, with Koulibaly regularly lauded for his ability to physically dominate opposing strikers.

Everton bid

As such, it has come as little surprise that a number of Premier League clubs have been reported as expressing a serious interest in Koulibaly’s signature over the last couple of summers.

The African’s physical attributes would no doubt be perfectly-suited to the physical nature of the English top-flight.

Everton were heavily-linked with a move last year, with a big-money bid of 50 million Euro even reported to have been forthcoming from the Toffees.

This past summer, meanwhile, saw both Chelsea and Manchester United named as admirers of Koulibaly’s talents.

In fact, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis even confirmed that the club had rejected a mammoth 100 million Euro offer from the Premier League for his side’s star defender during the summer.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss, De Laurentiis revealed:

‘It’s true, we had a €100m bid from the Premier League for Koulibaly, but we’re not negotiating his sale.’

‘He’s a very good person and we’ve never had problems with him.’

Kalidou Koulibaly scores a goal during the Serie A match between Juventus and SSC Napoli

Man United reignite interest

However, as per the aforementioned update from Duncan Castles this afternoon, one club who have not been deterred by Napoli’s massive valuation of Koulibaly are Manchester United.

Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho was known to have sought out central-defensive reinforcements during the summer, but, in the end, saw his requests go unanswered by the club’s board.

Nevertheless, Castles assures that the Portuguese tactician remains keen on the signature of a new centre-half.

And Koulibaly is said to be a prime target, as per the Daily Record:

Manchester United unlikely to make January signings

Manchester United unlikely to make January signings

Manchester United are understood to have no plans of pursuing new players when the transfer window reopens in a couple of months' time.

United boss Jose Mourinho was left frustrated during the backend of the summer transfer window after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward failed to meet his requirements of a new central defender.

The Red Devils have since gone through a tough run in the Premier League where they have conceded nearly two goals per game and this has spread the speculation in recent weeks that they could go on a winter spending spree.

However, according to The Independent, Mourinho has yet to discuss his winter plans with Ed Woodward and the board likewise remain reluctant to back the Portuguese in the transfer market.

Over the past two seasons, Mourinho has recruited the likes of Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof to bolster the central defence but neither have impressed extensively when called up to the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, the hierarchy are also concerned with the manager's handling of summer signing Fred, who has dropped down the pecking order this term following the £52m fee spent to lure him from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Manchester United suffered their fourth defeat of the Premier League season over the weekend against Manchester City and this sees them already 12 points off the top of the summit.

Manchester United will need to increase £53m offer for Inter defender Milan Skriniar

Manchester United will need to increase £53m offer for Inter defender Milan Skriniar

Red Devils have been in the hunt since August for one of Serie A's best defender but may have to break the world record fee to bring him to Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED have been told they need to up the ante to land Inter defender Milan Skriniar, having had a £53m offer rejected.

Red Devils might need to pay a record-breaking fee for the Slovakian who is one of Serie A's best defender and has been on the radar of Europe's top clubs.

Milan Skriniar has impressed in Serie A and Champions League against Barcelona

Jose Mourinho has reportedly been fond of Skriniar, 23, for a while now as back in August the Slovakia international was among centre-backs considered to bolster United's patchy defensive line.

Skriniar massively helped Inter come back to the Champions League this year - playing every minute of the last Serie A season and topping ranks for most possessions won in the Italian league.

While Red Devils' defensive struggles continue, Mourinho is considering making a move for the Inter defender once the winter transfer window opens, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter, however, play hardball and have already rejected United's £53m offer - trying to extend Skriniar's contract according to his agent Karol Csonto.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: "We're talking about it. We're working on it.

"It's a subject we'll be facing more intensively over the next few months.

"He is happy with the Nerazzurri shirt, he is playing well, but he is aware there are some difficulties in Serie A," he added.

Skriniar said in August he had no intentions of leaving Inter but the Italians are bracing themselves for the possibility of their star changing his mind and have pre-emptively started monitoring Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen.

Gazzetta dello Sport claims Red Devils, facing competition from the likes of Barcelona or Real Madrid, will have to significantly increase their initial offer if they want to have a shot at luring the defender to Old Trafford.

With Skriniar's impressive performances against the Catalans in the Champions League this season, it might take breaking the £75m world record fee Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk in January to sign the Slovakian.

Man Utd considering £52.8m bid for Serie A star

Manchester United have reportedly made £52.8m bid for Serie A outfits Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.

The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho is believed to have personally scouted 20-year-old defender Milenkovic during Serbia’s UEFA Nations League game against their neighbors Montenegro on Thursday.

According to La Nazione, Man Utd manager was impressed with what he saw from the eight-time international, and the Red Devils have now made an offer of £52.8m for his signature during the January transfer window.

Milenkovic has joined Fiorentina from Partizan back in May 2017, and has impressed since his arrival in Italy top-tier.

The Red Devils were frustrated in their pursuit of a number of world-class defender during the summer transfer window, with Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire two players heavily linked with switches to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, another Serbian midfielder Serbian Milinkovic Savic has been also rumoured with a move to Man Utd kept close tabs during their game against Montenegro.

Premier League giants will look to make it back-to-back wins in the English top-tier when they travel to Chelsea next weekend.

Club ready to offer £50million star to Manchester United

Club ready to offer £50million star to Manchester United

Manchester United have been linked with Brazilian international and Juventus star Alex Sandro for quite some time and the latest reports are intriguing.

Earlier this month, Italian sourceCalcio Mercatoreported that Mourinho is looking to sign the former Porto defender.

More recently,The Sunday Expresshave exclusively revealed that Juventus are drawing up plans to re-sign Paul Pogba in the New Year. The British outlet have stated that the Italian champions are ready to offer Sandro or Benatia or Mandzukic to secure the signing of the French midfielder from the Old Trafford club.

Pogba has been highly inconsistent since joining Manchester United in 2016 and it will not come as any surprise if he is sold. Mourinho should look to replace the Les Bleus star by signing a top quality midfielder but if he has to choose from the three options provided by Juve then Alex Sandro should be lured in my opinion.

Benatia has only warmed the bench for the Old Lady in the current campaign. He will turn 32 next year and is past his best.

Lukaku has been average this season, on the other hand, Mandzukic is in top form but the veteran Croatian international will turn 33 next May.

50million rated (The Mail) Sandro, 27, is one of the best left backs in the world and he is in his peak years. Solid at the back and productive in the attacking third, Mourinho needs someone like the Samba star in his back line.

.

Manchester United plan winter attempt for Roma playmaker

Manchester United are reportedly planning a winter attempt to sign Lorenzo Pellegrini after failing to pursue the Roma midfielder in the previous transfer window.

The Italy international was identified as one of the prime targets for United during the summer but the board are said to have cooled their interest after recruiting Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

United have since gone through a difficult period in the Premier League where they have struggled to find sufficient creativity in the centre of the park and Calciomercato claims that this could revive their pursuit of Pellegrini.

Pellegrini, who rejoined the Giallorossi from Sassuolo last year, is presently understood to have an affordable release clause of just £26m on his existing contract.

He has been in good form for the Italian giants this term with two goals and a further five assists across all competitions. His current deal expires in the summer of 2022.

Jose Mourinho Urges Manchester United Board to Accelerate Ander Herrera Contract Talks

Lists

Jose Mourinho Urges Manchester United Board to Accelerate Ander Herrera Contract Talks

Jose Mourinho will put pressure on Manchester United's board to make sure Ander Herrera signs a new contract before the end of the year.

The contract Herrera signed when he joined United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014 expires at the end of the season, meaning that he would be allowed to discuss a free transfer to another club from January onwards.

The Metro reports that Herrera remains loyal to United and is unlikely to pursue a move away, but United still risk losing the Spaniard next summer unless they show the same loyalty in return.

Herrera earns £120,000 a week and it is not believed that he will push for a huge increase, so United will have only themselves to blame if they cannot close out the deal.

This will be an acid test of the board's responsiveness to Mourinho's demands. The Portuguese boss was left irate after a summer transfer window in which United failed to follow through on his desire to sign a new centre back.

Herrera started two games in a row for the first time all season this week, playing 79 minutes of the win over Juventus in the Champions League, and 73 minutes at Manchester City on Sunday.

Nemanja Matic and Fred have been keeping Herrera out of the team but it is understood that Mourinho has given the 29-year-old assurances that he remains a key part of his plans at Old Trafford.

Herrera's former club Athletic Bilbao would be among the interested parties if Herrera is forced to leave at the end of the season.

Manchester Mayhem: 5 things to look forward to in the Manchester Derby

Manchester Mayhem: 5 things to look forward to in the Manchester Derby

Mayhem In Manchester

Call it derby delights, bragging rights or keys to the city of Manchester itself. The first city of English football looks forward to another instalment of the smouldering cauldron of passion and pride called as Manchester Derby.

These tinderbox tussles or Masala matches are riotous in the stands, rambunctious on the grass and absolutely provocative on the telly. So for the weak of heart, the addict of temperamental tendencies and the passive of actions, there is a caveat of complete emotional and psychological breakdown. Watch at the risk of your complete conversion!

Date: Sunday, 11 November 2018

Time: 22:00hrs IST

Venue: Etihad Stadium

Last fixture: Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United

With that settled, here is a breakdown of five salient lenses to deconstruct and speculate on the fixture:

City took a deserved 2-0 lead into half-time but United came strong in the second half with a Pogba double and rare goal from Chris Smalling.

Head to Head

To be fair, in these matches, form, mathematics and even logic goes for a toss, out of the stadium gates. As soon as the players step on the pitch, it is going to be helter-skelter, fierce tackles and lung-bursting slug fest. The statistics are for the fantasy football pundits. For the match goers, players, and the managers, it will be the allure of glorious victory that will govern their thoughts and actions.

The Generals

Men in Charge!

In the blue corner, you have the Spanish maestro, a paragon of reinvention and the inventor of ‘tiki-taka’ while in the red corner you have the master manipulator the greatest defensive tactician of the 21st Century.

Former colleagues at Barcelona (1996-2000), the two of the greatest ever football managers could not be more different in their approach, demeanour and what Louis Van Gaal (worked with both at Barcelona) calls “footballing philosophy”.

From Barcelona-Madrid, Barcelona-Inter, Bayern-Chelsea the two take their pursuit of superiority and one-upmanship to the North West of England. The recent City documentary was dubbed ‘classless’ by the Portuguese and will add more fuel to the high-octane derby duel.

Managerial Record

The Spearheads

In the Blue corner you have the irrepressible and finally unrestrained Raheem Sterling and in the Red corner, you have the reemergence of the mercurial genius that is Anthony Martial.

Sterling has six goals and five assists in nine League matches taking his overall tally to 51 goals being scored from 144 (since 2015 move all competitions). He is the City’s talisman at the moment, ably aided by the likes of Aguero and Bernardo Silva. Fending off interest from the likes of Real Madrid the 23-year-old, but City extended his contract until 2023 this week.

The Show-Stoppers!

Anthony Martial has come into his own in October with four goals in as many games. The French winger’s form and potency on the counter-attack, along with Pogba’s midfield charge – will be the United’s ultimate weapon on Sunday.

The Chinks

The Blue corner seems impenetrable with its indestructible defensive duo of Laporte and Jones with the formidable screen of Fernandinho. However, if one is stretched to find a lever to discombobulate the City design it will be a seemingly lightweight midfield three of two Silvas. Bernardo and David Silva are no physical match for the likes of Fellaini and Pogba. Furthermore, there is the Kyle Walker stratagem. Walker plays as the third centre-back when City have possession and, fills in as defensive partner of Fernandinho if they succumb to turnovers. There could be possible foibles for Martial, Lingard and Pogba to exploit at one of these points of transition. This may sound like clutching on straws because it most likely is,

In the Red corner, you have the stuttering partnership of Smalling and Lindelof with the porous midfield blanket provided by leggy Matic, ill-disciplined Pogba and temerarious Fred. Luke Shaw is prone to follow the ball rather than the man while Ashley Young has a mare at Bournemouth. His task is exacerbated by the defensive ineptness of Juan Mata on the right flank.

Bernardo Silva’s elusive movement and manipulation of spaces, David Silva’s dexterous circulation of the ball, Benjamin Mendy’s lethal crossing and the pace of Sterling, Sane and Aguero/Jesus will be a torturous task for the United midfielders, defensive halves and full-backs. The return to fitness and form of Ander Herrera might prove crucial if United has to provide a rock-solid footing for advancing its counterattacking game by shutting off the back door to its goal.

The Charges!

The Lords of ruthless perfection vs the Kings of unlikely comebacks

The Citizens have been like an unstoppable juggernaut with 12 goals in their last two fixtures and 50+ already this season. With a perfect home record this season the team has shown incredible defensive thrift apart from lavish attacking zeal. With only four goals conceded in their first eleven League fixtures, they are always brimming with the confidence to step on the accelerator and drive home their attacking engine full throttle. The two-headed monster will be tough to slain for the visiting Red Devils.

The Red team has amassed quite a string of Fergiesque comebacks over the last month and a half with Roy of the Rover stuff against New Castle, Brawl at Stamford Bridge, Smash and Grab at Bournemouth and the Italian Job in Turin against the ‘Old Lady’ Juventus. The streak might not last and so the Red Devils will need to shift gears in the first half and mottle out of their ‘Second Half United’ skin. Another poor start against a merciless City might spell an insurmountable task with a catastrophic end by the final whistle.

Sunday Showdown!

The fixture invites primed opinions and incites pungent reactions so much so that formalistic computer algorithms have their play at predictions too like the one at Football Web Page which predicts a 6-0 hammering of United. However, no software can gauge the red fury, blue poise or derby dynamics accurately. Not until it gets the taste of one bone-crushing tackle on the pitch!

The clocks are set, the reward is in the cross-hairs and the curtain rises at 2200 hrs IST. All the bets and all the rest will be discarded to the sidelines when the teams of Manchester enter the arena at the Etihad for the Super Sunday Showdown!

Man United in contract talks with 30-year-old Spain international

Juan Mata has admitted that he is in talks with Manchester United over a new contract.

The 30-year-old netted a sublime free-kick to pull the Red Devils level against Juventus in Turin before Alex Sandro’s own goal secured a 2-1 win for Jose Mourinho’s team.

Juan Mata’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season, and the Spanish playmaker could leave the club as a free agent.

But Juan Mata, who joined Manchester United from rivals Chelsea for £37.1 million back in 2014, has admitted that he is negotiating with the club over extending his deal.

‘I am very happy in England, my contract is up in the summer, and I’m in talks with Manchester United in order to see what happens,’ Juan Mata told El Transistor after the victory over Juventus.

The World Cup winner also spoke about perfecting his free-kick technique after the training sessions. ‘I have confidence in free kicks at the moment,’ he told BT Sport.

‘I train a lot after training sessions I like to stay with some balls and some goalkeepers they help me a lot too. Today’s was important, and then we went on and scored again.’

Man United reluctant to trigger extension clause of £200,000-a-week star

Manchester United have not triggered a 12-month extension clause in David De Gea’s contract as they fear it could ultimately pave the way for The 28-year-old to leave as he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Manchester United had been confident of agreeing a new long-term deal with David De Gea after opening negotiations with his agent at the start of the year.

However, the club’s patchy form – combined with the uncertainty over Jose Mourinho’s position – has forced the Spaniard into re-thinking his future at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to keep the goalkeeper, but he recently reneged on previous statements about the Spaniard’s future by revealing he was ‘not confident’ he would sign a new deal to stay at the club.

With such uncertainty hanging over the future of their most prized asset, the Red Devils have the option of extending the Spaniard’s stay by triggering a 12-month extension clause in his contract.

However, the club view such an option as an acceptance of defeat in their attempt to convince David De Gea to sign a new, longer deal.

United will leave a decision on De Gea’s extension until late December when, they’ll be forced into triggering the clause as he’d be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with suitors in January, with Juventus closely monitoring.

Jose Mourinho decided to give chance Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia during this campaign and permit Italy international to leave the Red Devils during the winter. Roma and Inter Milan keen to add him as they need a new high-class right-back and there will be a real battle for the footballer.

is price could increase and become much more. Matteo joined Man United from Torino in 2015 with a £17m deal. He had an excellent season in the beginning but after Mourinho arrived he moved to the bench. Last campaign Darmian played only 7 matches which is an awful result and he should change the working place if he wants to get regular game time. The 28-year-old player is contracted with the Red Devils until 2019 and his release clause is around €18m.

He also plays in the national team regularly which is already a big success for the footballer. Mourinho made a strange decision as Young and Valencia already up to 32 and they won’t be able to play regularly in high-class. Diogo Dalot also too young and can’t establish himself in the club yet.

Manchester United ‘make hurried check’ on classy No.10 in potential attempt to hijack Real Madrid transfer deal

Manchester United ‘make hurried check’ on classy No.10 in potential attempt to hijack Real Madrid transfer deal

Manchester United are reportedly taking a look at River Plate midfield starlet Exequiel Palacios ahead of what looks a likely transfer to Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old is one of the most exciting young talents coming out of South American football at the moment, and a move to a big European club seems to beckon.

Don Balon recently suggested a deal was basically done for Palacios to move to the Bernabeu next season, with a loan back to River Plate for the rest of this campaign first.

However, the Sun now suggest United may also be interested in a potential late hijack for the Argentine, though they are running out of time to get anything done themselves.

Still, fans will be excited at the Red Devils’ interest in this exciting young talent who could have a bright future at the highest level.

(
Despite being inexperienced at the moment, Palacios could potentially come in and provide a great long-term option for United in the middle of the park.

A creative and attack-minded player, Palacios could in theory be just the player MUFC need to give them that link between midfield and attack that they’ve looked like lacking in recent times.

Manchester united interested in James rodriguez

Man United reignite interest in Bundesliga No.11

Manchester United stance on Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez has been revealed amid claims he could replace Alexis Sanchez.

The Red Devils have emerged as suitors for the playmaker, whose long-term future at the club is in doubt.

The Colombian midfielder is currently in his second season at the club having joined on loan from Real Madrid back in 2017.

James Rodriguez has, though, endured a turbulent time of things over in the Bundesliga under new manager Niko Kovac, whose combative methods have not sat well with some players at Allianz Arena with the club languishing behind Borussia Dortmund in the title race.

As a result of his relationship with the boss, James Rodriguez has been linked with the move to Old Trafford.

Red Devils forward Alexis Sanchez has been tipped to leave despite only signing from Arsenal in January.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly leading the race to rescue the 29-year-old from his nightmare stint with Jose Mourinho.

However, the Daily Post claims Manchester United are currently not pursuing Rodriguez’s signature.

A year ago, the deal for Chile international came out of the blue, and the forward was widely expected to leave for Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola aggressively pursuing his services.

Man United scouting Russian attacking midfielder

Man United scouting Russian attacking midfielder

Former Manchester United attacker Andrei Kanchelskis claims he’s ‘not surprised’ by the club’s interest in Spartak Moscow youngster Mikhail Ignatov, who broke into the first-team squad at the start of the season and the attacking midfielder has the caught the attention with a string of convincing performances from midfield.

The Red Devils are one of many teams watching the starlet since his meteoric rise and Russian scout Kilibarda claims that he has been impressed with the teenager.

Asked about the 18-year-old, Kilibarda told Sport-Express: ‘He is very good, so everyone knows who I looked at. But this information is not disclosed. I look through all the teams in the territories for which I am responsible.’

‘Basically, I’m not surprised. This is probably possible. Scouts of Manchester United are watching many young, promising players. It is normal that this time they paid attention to a guy like Ignatov,’ he said.

‘What else can I say about this situation? Never mind. One game is not an indicator! Stability is a sign of excellence. How many young talents did we have and did they immediately go out?

‘If Ignatov will show his class throughout the season, then there will be food for thought. ‘Maybe now someone recommended him to the Manchester United scout. But for the time being, it is of course too early to assert a substantive interest.’

Manchester United set to rival Barcelona in race to sign quality €100M+ Paul Pogba replacement

Got ...

Manchester United set to rival Barcelona in race to sign quality €100M+ Paul Pogba replacement

Man United look set to do battle with Spanish giants Barcelona in the race to secure the signature of Spain and Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

According to Don Balon, both sides are keen on signing the Atletico star, and that his signing will cost more than €100M to seal, a small price to pay for a player of his quality.

The news outlet also state that the Red Devils wants Saul as a replacement in preparation for the ‘almost certain departure’ of key midfielder Paul Pogba.

Since breaking onto the footballing scene a few years ago for Los Rojiblancos, Saul has not only managed to cement his place in their side, but in Spain’s as well.

The 23-year-old is one of the most promising midfield talents in world football, and either Barcelona or Man United would be lucky to sign him in the near future.

Pogba hasn’t had the easiest time at Old Trafford since his move to United in the summer of 2016, and it looks like the club are preparing for the day he finally calls it quits.

The Frenchman was superb with France at the World Cup this past summer, however he is yet to replicate this form for United so far this campaign, something that has seen him receive a fair bit of criticism from fans.

United want Saul as preparation for the ‘certain departure’ of Paul Pogba

United replacing Saul for Pogba may be a wise move for the club to make, as the Spaniard is a few years younger than the former Juve man, and he definitely has the potential to be on the same level as Pogba in the near future.

Mourinho still wants Perisic

Man United manager still wants to sign €47m-rated Serie A winger

Man United coach Jose Mourinho keeping tabs with Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic and thinks that he made mistake when preferred to add Alexis Sanchez. Mourinho feels his side lack a brilliant crosser to exploit their height advantage and has been disappointed with Sanchez’s end product.

Perisic would have offered superior crossing ability, while there is also a sense that he would have been more accepting of the style of play promoted by Mourinho. Sanchez has not taken to Mourinho’s management style and, according to The Times, some of his teammates believe he gets intimidated by the manager’s dressing downs after defeats. Even though Sanchez impressed against Juventus last time out, Mourinho is also unhappy with his goal return.

The United boss believes he should be far more prolific than he is and now considers him firmly behind Anthony Martial in the left-wing pecking order, with the Frenchman having scored five goals in his last four Premier League appearances. Perisic is contracted with the Nerazzurri until 2022 and his release clause is nearly €45m. Croatian winger also played in the World Cup and helped his team to win the silver medals. Ivan joined the Italian club from Wolfsburg in 2015 with a €20m deal.

Manchester united demanded pjanic for Pogba

Man United demanded Serie A No.5 for Paul Pogba

Juventus wanted to sign former midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer, but Manchester United demanded Miralem Pjanic in return.

The French superstar won four Serie A titles during his time in Italy, and according to Gianluca di Marzio, Juventus made a late move for the 25-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.

But Manchester United responded by asking Juventus to include Miralem Pjanic as part of the deal. The Bosnia-Herzegovina star has been a key part of Old Lady’s midfield under Massimiliano Allegri, and the Italian champions quickly dismissed the Red Devils’ proposal.

Miralem Pjanic hailed Jose Mourinho’s men as a ‘great team’. ‘[Pogba is] a great footballer, just like [Nemanja] Matic or [Juan] Mata or Fred,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia. ‘United is a team of great quality, there are players who can make the difference, so we will have to face them like we did in the first leg.

‘I think that we had a very good game at Old Trafford, we could have scored a few more goals. We hope that in Turin we will manage to score more, but we must not forget that Manchester is a great team with a great coach.’

Despite scoring the equaliser in United’s 2-1 win over Juventus, the diminutive playmaker has failed to hold to a regular starting berth under Jose Mourinho.

And now, according to Drivetime host Durham, the World Cup and European Championship winner will leave for the Emirates in the summer.

Presenting the show alongside Jason Cundy, Durham said: “I thought we were going to do a Juan Mata love-in right.

“I thought we were doing an appreciation hour for Juan Mata. After I said this, just a couple of minutes ago, just had a message going; ‘He’s going to Arsenal on a free’.

Mata and Emery worked together before at Valencia

“We can’t do this anymore, if he’s going to Arsenal. We all love him now, but who is going to love him when he goes to Arsenal?

“He’s going to be going to Arsenal on a free! He was with [Unai] Emery on a free wasn’t he, so he’s going to Arsenal on a free because he is out of contract in the summer.”

Mata did indeed play for Gunners boss Emery during his time as Valencia boss, before moving to the Blues in 2012.

Having established himself as one of the most creative Premier League players, former United boss David Moyes swooped in January 2014 to take him up the M1 to Old Trafford.

When asked by Cundy how he knew this information and whether or not he could be trusted, Durham was as bullish and defiant as ever.

“This is breaking news, Juan Mata is going to Arsenal,” he continued.

“This is what I have heard, it is not official. My sources close to the club have said he is going to Arsenal on a free.

“By the way, when it happens, you can all ring up and say ‘We doubted you but, as ever, you were right.'”

“I’ve just had a message… Juan Mata is going to Arsenal on a free.”

He has a big potential and can help any big club to win the titles. Skriniar also plays regularly in national team which is already a big achievement for the footballer.

Pogba may miss derby after injury scare

Manchester United hit with major injury scare as superstar misses training before derby

Manchester United Football Club have been pretty good over the last month, but their toughest take this season takes place this weekend.

The Red Devils head to The Etihad to take on an unbeaten Manchester City, as Jose Mourinho’s men will be hoping to repeat the feat that took place last term.

During that game, Paul Pogba stole the show. However, he has given his manager an injury scare, making him a doubt to play in the clash,

Our French sensational missed Friday’s training session with the group, instead, he was working on his own as he looks to overcome whatever injury issue he is nursing at the moment.

This just sums up our luck at the moment. Pogba has been our best player this term, and going into the toughest test without him would be a massive blow. He’s the only midfielder we have who is capable of carving out chances single-handedly, and his energy, drive and desire to win would be a massive loss.

We need the 25-year-old to be fit, heck, even a half-fit Pogba is better than most options, so let’s hope he can pull himself through the problem and get himself out on the field.

Man United join race to sign star defender who is open to leave – report

According to reports from Italy, Manchester United are interested in signing Moroccan International Mehdi Benatia. The Juventus defender has struggled for game time this season following the return of Leonardo Bonucci at the Allianz Stadium and he has spoken out of his frustration at being left on the bench.

The former Roma and Bayern Munich star is also reportedly wanted by Barcelona in January, with the Spanish giants facing dismal injury crisis at the heart of defence.

Tuttosport (h/t Calciomercato) reports that Manchester United have joined the race for the experienced defender, who can certainly add solidity and valuable experience to their backline, should he arrive at Old Trafford. The Red Devils’ problems at the back have been well documented this campaign, having kept only 1 clean sheet in 11 league matches.

Mourinho’s men have also conceded 18 goals this term, which is just 10 fewer than they managed in the whole of last season. Man United were active in the market for a central defender all summer with the likes of Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld all heavily linked to a move to Old Trafford.

The moves failed to materialize but it is believed that the board will back Mourinho with funds to reinforce in the winter transfer window. Benatia is a classy centre back known for his unflappable defending, aerial strength and ability to play out from the back.

Manchester United are set to make just one change from the side that defeated Juventus in the Champions League, according to the Evening Standard.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has overcome a late injury scare which saw him miss training on Friday and is expected to start.

Manchester united planning to sign bale

Man United keeping tabs with No.11 world-class winger

Man United keen on signing Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale and preparing to make an offer in January when the transfer window opens again. Red Devils have serious problems in the front-line and new high-class winger is necessary. Wales international is the perfect choice in this situation as he had an impressive campaign and proved his greatness one more time.

Jose set to pay big money for the footballer during the winter. Chelsea also interested to add him and there will be a real battle for the player. His price could increase and become much more. Gareth joined the La Liga giants from Tottenham in 2013 with a €100m deal. He became an unchanged figure for the club but in recent years he moved to the bench due to many injuries. In this season, Bale played 14 games, scored 6 goals and made 5 assists in all competition.

This is an excellent result and he can do much more during this campaign. The 29-year-old footballer is contracted with the Los Blancos until 2022 and his release clause is around £100m. It will be very difficult for the Red Devils to add him as Ronaldo already joined Juventus and Perez isn’t going to lose one more great player.

Manchester united to offer improved new contract to martial

Man United poised to offer improved new contract to £54m-rated star

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has been in fine form in the latest weeks, and it has reportedly convinced the Red Devils’ management to splash out to tie up his long-term future.

The Frenchman’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, albeit Premier League heavyweights have an option to extend his stay for another year.

Nevertheless, that is only a short-term solution to avoid losing Frenchman, and so that will remain a concern with potentially just one year running on his next deal.

With that in mind, The Sun report that Manchester United are now prepared to offer Martial a £190,000-a-week deal to keep him at the club for the next five seasons, and it comes at a time where the talented Frenchman is proving his worth to Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old star has netted six goals in 13 appearances so far this campaign, with five coming in his last four EPL outings, which has been crucial in sparking the turnaround in Manchester United’s season to get them moving up the table after an inconsistent start.

Man Utd on alert as Italian giants accelerate plans to land versatile defender

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio recently had a meeting with Serie A side Sampdoria’s hierarchy to discuss the possibility of landing Manchester United-linked central defender Joachim Andersen.

The Danish star joined the Serie A outfit last year and used the previous season as a platform to settle down in Serie A and getting used to playing in one of the top European leagues.

Joachim has cemented his place in the Sampdoria starting line-up this year, but it has also led to interest from a few heavyweights of European football due to his impressive performances.

Another Serie A club Juventus are keeping a close watch on the star and Manchester United have been scouting the defender ahead of the opening of the January transfer market.

Inter Milan believe they have the advantage in the transfer chase and according to Italian website Calciomercato.it, they recently met the Sampdoria management regarding Andersen.

Nerazzurri have a strong relationship with the Blucerchiati leadership (they purchased Milan Skriniar and Mauro Icardi from the Genoa-based outfit) and are keen to exploit that to beat off rivalry for Joachim Andersen’s signature.

Manchester United star set to leave the club, Mourinho describes dip in form ‘a mystery’

One of Manchester United’s biggest stars reportedly wants to leave the club, having struggled since joining and interested clubs will certainly be on red alert after the latest revelation.

According to The Times (subscription required), United’s mega star Alexis Sanchez wants to leave the Old Trafford outfit and The Times report that the attacker would like to join Paris Saint-Germain.

United shocked football fans across the world when they managed to beat Manchester City to land the Chilean’s signature in January on a free transfer.

Sanchez’s announcement video involved the former Arsenal star playing the infamous ‘Glory Glory Man United’ on a piano. Since then it seems that United’s decision to break the bank to beat City to the attacker’s signing couldn’t have gone much worse.

Alexis Sanchez has had a disappointing start to life at Manchester United, scoring only 3 goals since joining in January.

Sanchez receives a whopping £350,000-a-week with United and this figure doesn’t include any bonuses. Sanchez’s astronomical wages were initially defended given that the star effectively joined on a free transfer.

Sanchez joined in a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan join the Gunners.

It is understood that Sanchez is unhappy with United’s style of play and Jose Mourinho’s insistence on his winger’s tracking back, Sanchez seems like a shell of his former self since joining United.

The Times also reported that Mourinho was overheard describing Sanchez’s dip in form as a ‘mystery’ in conversations with his staff.

One thing that seems almost certain is that it seems almost guaranteed that Sanchez will not see out his intended four-and-a- half year stay with the Red Devils.
