Ligue 1 giants linked with swoop for Man Utd €55m-rated star
Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez is a transfer target for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Sanchez has proven to be a flop at the Red Devils following his move from Premier League side Arsenal in January.
The Chilean swapped places with Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan and it’s the north London giants who look to have got the better deal.
Sanchez has failed to impress under Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho and is no longer guaranteed a starting spot in spite of his previous glittering record in the English top flight.
And the Parisians could be about to provide a get out variant for the 29-year-old.
That’s after The Sun stated there are whispers at Old Trafford about the French side coming calling for Alexis – albeit only on a free transfer or for a low transfer fee.
In spite of the prospect of not pocketing any cash for the attacking ace, getting Chilean off the books on the cheap may appeal, with Alexis the club’s highest wage earner at a staggering £500,000-per-week.
Clearing those wages off the books could help Jose re-structure his squad.
