Manchester united and barcelona bidding for chelsea star

Man United face serious competition for £65m-rated target

Barcelona are in talks with Willian’s agent and will make a new attempt to sign the Brazil international from Chelsea, while Jose Mourinho has also tried to lure the winger to Manchester.

The La Liga winners wanted Willian in the summer transfer window, but the Blues rejected three offers, including one worth around £55 million.

According to La Sexta, the Catalan giants remain interested, and the club have held a meeting with the 30-year-old’s entourage in an attempt to find a transfer fee which London club would be willing to accept.

The report also claims that Barcelona would be willing to offer Malcom as part of the deal for Willian. Spanish outfit spent £37 million on signing Malcom from Bordeaux in the summer, but the youngster has made little impact at Camp Nou since his arrival.

It remains to be seen if Jose Mourinho will try to convince the attacker to join Manchester United while the club is abstaining to hand transfer money to the Portuguese manager.

Willian, who has has been a crucial figure under Maurizio Sarri this season, will have a year left on his deal with Chelsea at the end of the season.
