Why news in Spain has Chelsea fans rejoicing about the future of their star player

If you thought Chelsea fans were happy with a 4-0 win over Burnley at the weekend, just wait till you see how happy they were about the news emerging later that night.
Blues fans not only got to bask in the glory of a comfortable win without their star man Eden Hazard, they also got to find out that he may well be staying at the club long term.
Not long after the final whistle at Burnley, El Clásico kicked off, and Real Madrid – the prime candidate to sign Hazard – were thrashed 5-1.

That spells the end for Julen Lopetegui, and the man being tipped to replace him at the moment is former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Suddenly, the idea of going to Spain looks a lot less appealing to Hazard, and the chances of him signing a new deal at the Bridge have been boosted massively.
